The Journey starts when you get on the horse and get out of the “Corral” where you will experience the nature of the tropical dry forest, this is different from any other type of forest you’ll ever be in, since this is a little part of Guanacaste is one of the last places in the world where this this type of forest exists. You will see some cattle along the way but also you will see monkeys (howler, spider, and Whiteface), birds and iguanas, even sometimes we get to see deer, we can also spot some big cats tracks on the way and also raccoons, peccaries and agoutis hiding some seeds. Once we went through the forest and some hills with beautiful views to the ocean, we will arrive to the old house of the Hacienda called el “Chagüite”, which is how the locals call the Banana/Plantains Plantations, and you can enjoy spectacular views to the Salinas Bay making this a beautiful and relaxing spot.
