La Paloma nests atop a high bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean and nearby Caño Island, in Costa Rica’s isolated Drake Bay. The resort is spread over 24 richly landscaped acres that blend seamlessly into the surrounding tropical rain forest, attracting a variety of birds and wildlife. Scarlet Macaws soar overhead and toucans can be heard calling to each other from the depths of the rain forest. White face monkeys lunch on ripe mangoes, and ancient looking iguanas bask in the sun. Our standard rooms are large and are furnished with a queen and single orthopedic beds, ceiling fans, varnished hardwood floors and hot water. They usually accommodate 2 people but can hold to 3 in squeeze. Each has a private balcony with a breathtaking view of the Pacific.
